Closings and Delays

In the event of weather-related schedule changes or other emergency situations, The Aquinas Montessori School will communicate any decision affecting both The Aquinas Montessori School and The Old Town Montessori School according to the following policy.

1. There will be no announcement when school is open and operating on a regular schedule. All students will report to school at the regularly scheduled time.
2. The school follows school-closing policies decided by Fairfax County Public Schools. Exceptions follow:
   
   
   • When Fairfax County Public Schools open late, both campuses will always open at 10:00am.
     
     
     • Before School Care for the Aquinas campus will begin at 9:00am.
     • Before School Care for the Old Town campus will begin at 9:00am.
   • When Fairfax County Public Schools announce an early closing, both campuses will close at 12 noon.
     
     
     • After School Care and after school activities for the Aquinas campus will be canceled.
3. When school is closed, all student-related programs will be canceled for the day.
