About Aquinas Campus
The Aquinas Montessori School, founded in 1965, has three Primary, two Lower Elementary and one Upper Elementary classrooms.
We are situated on nearly two wooded acres on property formerly owned by George Washington in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria, near Washington,
DC.
Our mission is to create and sustain a nurturing, loving, joyous environment where each child is respected and treated as an individual.
We provide optimum Montessori classroom settings where students work at their own pace and level, where they learn through hands-on experience,
independent research, and personally-tailored lessons.
Our teachers guide and help children to develop autonomy, creative thinking and love of learning. They create an environment where each child can
realize his or her richest potential and become an enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated, and contributing member of society.
We are looking for organized, warm, flexible people who are authorized to work in the US and are able to communicate effectively and
professionally with parents, students, and staff.
A positive attitude and sensitivity to confidentiality are essential characteristics for the ideal candidates.
Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience and competitive with private Montessori schools in the area.
